Brief history of the club

1886: The club is formed by a group of Woolwich armaments factory workers under the name Dial Square (which was later changed to Royal Arsenal, Woolwich Arsenal and finally just Arsenal)

1904: Arsenal promoted to the First Division

1913: The club moves to Highbury, north London

1925: The appointment of Herbert Chapman as a manager, which resulted in wonderful 9 years for Arsenal

1926: Gunners finish second in the league

1927: Arsenal reaches FA Cup Final

1930: First, historic trophy for the club: FA Cup

1931: First League Championship

1970: Arsenal's first European trophy: UEFA Fairs Cup (beating Anderlecht Brussels)

1971: First double in history! (Cup + League Championship)

1994: European Cup Winners' Cup victory (against AC Parma)
